A state government in India is teaming up with a global IT services giant to establish a district devoted solely to blockchain startups.
Favorable Blockchain Environment for Newbies
The information technology department of the Telangana state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tech Mahindra thus setting in motion the construction of what they call the country’s first "blockchain district."
As announced Economic Times, the district will deploy in a zone inside Hyderabad – the region's capital city. According to the plan, the district will consist of buildings to house and incubate Indian blockchain projects.
The state government will be in charge of creating the infrastructure of the new locale and administrative support for startups, while Tech Mahindra will be responsible for offering expertise focused on technological skills and blockchain environment. As indicated by an announcement on Friday, Tech Mahindra is additionally building up a blockchain platform called Eleven01 protocol designed specifically for startups in the country.
