Canada cannot host the entire planet

The "Rush" brought miners to North America again. And this time they are seeking for energy.

Canada and its rich supplies attract countless projects, and to serve them all Hydro Quebec needs 9,000 megawatts of electro energy, that makes a quarter of the company’s productivity. Initially, Hydro Quebec expected to collaborate with the giants only, but by the end of January 70 mining projects have become potential clients.  Although the company is insanely busy now, it doesn’t plan to build new hydroelectric power stations, instead — it will increase the fees (currently the charge is $3,91 per kilowatt/h).

"If all we do is connect the bitcoin miners who have applied, we could create an issue for ourselves, there are limits to what we can do. I have a huge network with lots of capacity, but I cannot host the entire planet," — said Chief Executive Officer Eric Martel.
