"Bitcoin must be forbidden"

Russian Internet ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev made a questionable statement in the local media: his point is to forbid bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies not only in Russia but worldwide. Fun fact: he owns a mining farm. According to Marinichev, the new technology will inevitably bring changes into the society, which, he says, does not need to change. He remarks that "simple" people can go without cryptocurrencies, unlike machines, and this is the second reason to forbid them as soon as possible. However, the ombudsman adds that it’s a stopgap measure, and in the future humanity will be ready for innovations. The media doesn’t report if this makes sense.
